Our management team has over 17 years of construction, geotechnical, and environmental engineering in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and internationally. We provide a complete, full line of services for geotechnical, environmental, mining, and transportation engineering in both soil and rock environments. We utilize innovative techniques and solutions for all engineering and drilling needs and demonstrate superior standards in quality and excellence throughout our operation.

Mr. Mwewa is a licensed Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering) and has over 17 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering consulting, design, and construction, including construction management and construction quality assurance for various projects in the mining and commercial industry. He has been involved with various projects, as a project engineer and a project manager, on multiple mining, energy, oil and gas, governmental, and private projects.
With this vast experience, we understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with working on all county- and municipal-related projects, but most importantly, we understand the safety and work culture that our clients command from their employees and subcontractors.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Safety is our number one priority, and all Southlands employees maintain numerous industry certifications including 40-hour OSHA, MSHA, Smith Defensive Driving, as well as certification and participation in multiple safety programs such as API and LPS. Annual refreshers and medical monitoring are mandatory, as well as daily tailgate and all-hands monthly safety meetings. We also develop and Health and Safety Plans (HASP) for each project that we work on that map out the hazards and conditions of the site and other elements that may be encountered.
