Southlands Engineering, LLC (Southlands) is a premium, Tucson-based, multi-faceted engineering company providing engineering and maintenance services for the heavy civil, mining and crushing, water treatment, and governmental organizations throughout the Southwest United States. We are registered, licensed, and bonded in the State of Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas and New Mexico. Southlands has built its reputation throughout the Southwest United States as being a premier provider of high quality, safe and cost effective products and engineering services. As a qualified modern business enterprise; we are able to offer several innovative techniques and solutions for your engineering needs, many of which were previously available from our large business competitors.
Our management team has over 20 years of engineering and consulting services in the United States and internationally. We utilize innovative techniques and solutions for all engineering needs, and demonstrate superior standards in quality and excellence throughout our operation.
Our key strength in the industry stems from the fact that our management consists of personnel that have an understanding of the mining industry and technical objectives of the projects that we work on. Mr. Mwewa is a Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering, AZ # 44715) and has over 19-years of experience in engineering consulting, design, and construction, including construction management and construction quality assurance for various projects in the mining and commercial industry. He has been involved with various projects, as a project engineer and a project manager, on multiple mining, energy, oil and gas, governmental, and private projects. With this vast experience, we understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with working on all mining, military, federal and municipal related projects, but most importantly we understand the safety and work culture that our clients command from their employees and subcontractors.

Our carbon steel pipe systems coated with Protecto-Lyner are manufactured using the innovative fluoropolymer processing technology, ensuring that the products are of the highest quality and provide long-term performance. Pipe liners are manufactured using the pulp extrusion process to increase penetration resistance, produce a smooth surface and provide improved structural stability. Various customized processes, such as isostatic molding, paste extrusion and injection molding are used in the manufacture of accessories.

Health and Safety
Safety is our number one priority and all Southlands employees maintain numerous industry certifications including; 40-hour OSHA, MSHA, Smith Defensive Driving, as well as certification and participation in multiple safety programs such as API and LPS. Annual refreshers and medical monitoring are mandatory, as well as daily tailgate and all hands monthly safety meetings. We also develop Health and Safety Plans (HASP) for each project that we work on that map out the hazards and conditions of the site and other elements that may be encountered.
